Day One - FOSDEM 2025

The first day of FOSDEM 2025 ended up being both a challenging and rewarding outing even for someone who had the experience of representing Fedora Project and CentOS Project three times before due to factors like populous location, inadequate respite, tricky conversations and disorderly encounters.

Day Two - CentOS Connect 2025

Accompanying Greg on a train ride to the CentOS Connect 2025 event venue on the second day, I attended many talks while connecting with many folks from the community and failing to organize a Fedora Project presence during DevConf.IN 2025, before calling it a day early to prepare for FOSDEM 2025.

Day One - CentOS Connect 2025

While I was interested in the talks happening on the second half of the first day of the CentOS Connect 2025 event, I made it to the event venue a bit early anyway to help out with the organization and registration after a quick visit at the Ichiban store for some purchases amidst worsening weather.

Shopping Spree Before FOSDEM 2025

Being present in Brussels one day before the FOSDEM 2025 fringe events began helped me recover from the deteriorating sleep cycle due to the large timezone shift and explore the adjacent areas on foot for some incessant shopping, community conversations, landscape explorations and unavoidable beers.

Arriving At FOSDEM 2025

The journey toward FOSDEM 2025 took me from Kolkata to Brussels through Dubai, where we got a free upgrade to business class on the first flight and a relatively empty flight on the second flight. After meeting with Matthew Miller and Justin W. Flory, we ended the day with some McDonald's takeaways.

Introducing SyncStar - A FOSDEM 25 Submission

This is a talk proposal for the FOSDEM 2025 edition of Distributions Devroom titled "Introducing SyncStar - Create Bootable Media At Conference Kiosks" submitted by Akashdeep Dhar, targeting software engineers, budding enthusiasts, software developers and community managers at a FOSS conference.

Departing From GNOME Asia 2024

On 10th Dec 2024, Sumantro and I had a relatively late start to the departure day with some fulfilling breakfast at the hotel before the checkout, some discussions with Soumadeep at his residence before reaching the airport and a couple of short Indigo flights back to Kolkata and Pune respectively.

Information Security Meetup @ Red Hat Bengaluru

Fedora Project APAC team stayed an extra day after GNOME Asia 2024 for the information security meetup at the Red Hat office, where we also discussed 2025 events for Fedora Project APAC and had a retrospective activity for GNOME Asia 2024 organizers from Fedora Project, before dinners and farewells.

Day Three - GNOME Asia 2024

On 08th Dec 2024, the opt-in GNOME Asia 2024 social event took attendees to landmarks like Vidhana Soudha, Nrityagram and Our Native Village with folks involved in activities like cricket, snooker and collection before the trip was called off early due to increasing fatigue and worsening traffic.

Day Two - GNOME Asia 2024

On 07th Dec 2024, we started a tad later from the hotel and looked into addressing streaming issues, delivering multiple presentations, reuniting with friends, organizing interesting workshops with Fedora Project sponsored giveaways for the attendees and finally finishing it with a community dinner.
