The returning journey from FOSDEM 2025 took me from Brussels to Kolkata through Dubai, where the journey was saved by some interesting discussion with a friendly elderly couple, some amazing action movie screenings, some rushing at the layover destination, and some bother from nearby troubling kids.

The second day of FOSDEM 2025 presented a distinctive group of obstacles to overcome and winnings to receive with my assignment to various roles like doorkeeper, micrunner and emcee at the Distributions Devroom while I was making time for friendly conversations and struggling with the injured foot.

The first day of FOSDEM 2025 ended up being both a challenging and rewarding outing even for someone who had the experience of representing Fedora Project and CentOS Project three times before due to factors like populous location, inadequate respite, tricky conversations and disorderly encounters.

Being present in Brussels one day before the FOSDEM 2025 fringe events began helped me recover from the deteriorating sleep cycle due to the large timezone shift and explore the adjacent areas on foot for some incessant shopping, community conversations, landscape explorations and unavoidable beers.

The journey toward FOSDEM 2025 took me from Kolkata to Brussels through Dubai, where we got a free upgrade to business class on the first flight and a relatively empty flight on the second flight. After meeting with Matthew Miller and Justin W. Flory, we ended the day with some McDonald's takeaways.
